I think Well I suppose one of the nice things about open source is that you aren't limited by your wallet pick a distro and install KDE and GNOME try em both see which you prefer I'm paranoid that they might clash is installing them BOTH on the same machine going to be a problem? Or do you mean two seperate installs for them?

Just to stuff you up, going debian and am using KDE desktop environment. Question: If wubi-installer can install ubuntu inside its OWN FILE on Windows, then why can't debian? Yes, I was a linux man but got sick of restarting the PC to play cod4/bf1942/whatever. Was using Ubuntu at the time and couldn't satisfactorily use Ventrilo IN Ubuntu, let alone BF1942 and COD4 So, any way of playing cod4/bf1942 in debian then?

					| UNTIL such time as I can get windows games playing NATIVELY IN Linux, I'm resigned to the dark side I know that the WINE project is STILL going but is it a viable alternative?

					| Quote: I know that the WINE project is STILL going but is it a viable alternative? emulation is not the way forward , its just a software layer to slow stuff down microshite need to open up directx - but thye wont because they know loads of people would be free to play with out there monopoly Quote: *Edit On a serious note though many modern distros(of which Debian does not fall into that group) nout up with debian as a desktop - runs kde / gnome np _________________
