					| There's an 8Gb HDD available - just NOT for the UK :/
But with the USB ports you can shove in some usb sticks to increase I assume (storage)?
Just what I'd want for use on the bus - to program. linux eh? Thanks for the heads up there Slapster, I had searched for the mini thingy asus were doing and thought it was over 1k in price

					| 1) It's cheap
 2) It's very very portable (very small, weighs less than a kilo)
 3) Low key (so don't have to carry a separate bag for it, which always increases mugging chances).
Each to their own, but obviously for me it's all about portability and being able to do work whilst on a bus for up to 4 hours per day. So importance = size, battery life. No need for movies, music, games etc Just me, on bus, programming instead of twiddling my thumbs. The next "suitable" one I found which fits the bill is an apple macbook. Those cost £699+ though. After that, for small laptops, over 1k.

But if you want something that is about the size of a book, weighs next to nothing, but allows you to do most of the things you'd do on a laptop on the move, wireless connection etc, and a coupla hundred quid.
Perfect for those times lugging a laptop arounds a pain, whereas thiis you wouldnt really notice your carrying it, and cheap enough you dont worry about it to much._________________

Yep all sotrs of little things really. You couldnt do photoshop on it, but you could use it to write a bit of code in a notepad, sort out little bits and bobs like emails and stuff, check images things like that wherever you are. I wanted something like this for last year when travelling, but the closest option that was light enough was way to expensive, lot more opowerful obvioulsy but it wasn;t power I was after._________________
