					| Glenn -
Mini-ITX's, LCD's, Touchscreens and XPe (needs to be xp sadly ).
What do you know? Any good resources or suppliers?
Looking to build an all-in-one unit, prolly not much bigger than the 170x170
Hopefully in one of these Its the screen/controller - Touch/controller thats baking my noodle ATM
Oh, and it's got to be cheap EDIT: 6.4" screen....and tryin not to worry about the heat ATM_________________

					| It's more to do with what bits do I need. As I see mini-itx boards with built in LVDS control. Does that then mean I just need an LCD panel + Touch screen + Controller
And if I get a MB without LVDS control do I go back to needing a seperate board?
I have found this , so am hoping it's a reasonable price. That way It looks like I can forget about compatability issues and just plug it into any ITX board......._________________

					| Here was me thinking that you were building an in-car entertainment system Might be worth googling "car pc" and seeing if there are links to suppliers...._________________ The Pancreas of S.T.F.U. | Never take life too seriously - nobody gets out alive anyway.Disco_jim: um..... One of the best buys was an intergrated 7" touch screen for just over £100.
I dont know if its the power of mass production, but I certainly cant find the parts for that price. _________________

					| This is the place you want. Even if you have descided on the "pc" parts you'll need a DC - DC transformer, car voltage varies too much. Have a look at their EPIA motherboards and the in car cases also. Have fun shopping and post a project log maybe. _________________

					| Ta mate, been looking on there already. It's not for a car btw, with any luck it's gonna be a manufactured product. But still gonna take pics, cos who wouldnt want to see pics of a touch screen box, built from the ground up?! _________________

But a ground up system is the way forward on this. It's for the UK water industry so it's got to be cheap 6-12mnths and shty XP will be the first to go And in a let of steam stylee - Go on Microzoft website, click XP and see if you end up easily at anything like XP, or do you end up with them trying to sell you Wanky Vista?!?!!?
