exactly what i said,
they are making an OS based on windows (same kernal iirc), it will inlcude DX10 API.
it requires a legal liecnce of any windows os (semi supported by MS, but i dont know how or why)
it will be designed by gamers and benchmarks, for gamers and benchmarkers (low mem useage and customizable and the other great things that linux is good for)
thats about all i know, and all there is to know, there is a series of threads on xtremesystems.org (in the OS section) that is covering the UI votes, and other such sections. so you can see that its a community based/controled project.
its in a closed beta and there isnt much info except the varrious votes and 'can you add...' threads.
it will be a while before a public release (i guessing), but something to keep an eye on i think. might make a great second partition OS for hardcore gamers or ppl with a rig that can afford vista's 1.5Gb ram requirement.
its hard to find a thread that brings it all together to show new ppl, you kinda have to follow each thread to build up a picture of how it might end up.
