You guys made much use of these?

Really amazing tool for testing and development. I am a big fan. You can mess it up as much as you want and it doesnt matter if you've got a nice clean slate to start from without have to install everything or wait for a ghost to be applied.

Ive got 2 vpc's running on top of my system testing a client server app and its bloody amazing that it can all run of the same crappy p2.8 although I do have 2Gb of ram.

Free from microsoft now as well but you'll need proper licenesed software for anything running on the vpc

How does that work? You can run a WinXP computer, with VirtualPC, and in a VirtualPC session you can emulate (or install) another operating system?

yep - exactly that... even wierder is seeing all the VPCs on the network :)

VMWare is now free and will allow you to run virtual servers as well

Use them at college quite alot.

Good for testing out things you aren't sure of.
