40" give or take a couple of inch.
Built in freeviewHD would be a plus as I can't be arsed routing sky to it.
Not bothered if it's plasma/LED/LCD.
What's some good ones for about £1000?
I'll send a bag of pork scratchings to the best recommendation.

trade in a old tv at Tesco and get a Sony 1080p FreeviewHD tv for £549 tv was £749, Tescos give £100 and sony a thurther £100 for trading in a old tv. instore only, direct/online is more expensive, if u live near grimsby ill get u a extra 10% off to lol

After realising it would be a good idea to see some screens in person first, went to a few stores to have a look at that Sony and a couple of Samsung's........... ended up buying this http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0039SLYE6/r ... B0039SLYE6 Was surprised how shat HD looks on most tv's even the £3k+ ones, That one seemed to have the best picture, some good features as well. Got two years guarantee a blue ray player, some gay remote and delivery after it failed to fit in the car  for £890.cheers for the info |

You made the best choice bud, LCD's at that size just don't cut it, when compared to a Plasma. That is a great screen, my mate has one. |
