posted a bit ago about ram for my dad, but no affirmative action

please look at the following links that have the pc specs on it with info of memory / etc

his model is the IBM desktop pc, 8305-2CG

At current he only has 256 ram so i would like to get him 1GB more..

a) will it be compatible?
b) help me find somewhere to buy it from ! :)

I'd run cpuz and find out what kind of ram it is using. Hope its not sdram (pre ddr).

by the spec it is DDR 266 with support for up to 2Gb so you should be alright with something like this

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/92003

its supposed to run at 333 instead of 266 but that should be alright

use the memory advisor on the machine (which i have done, to check compaibility tho it should be ok running on the motherboard which is a stock intel offering.

Its cheaper to by off ebuyer
