after downloading process explorer........ (cheers slappy)....saw that i had 50% hardware interupts......
after much looking around.... found that the harddrive had reset itself to pio access...instead of ultra dma...
heres hoping that my hd aint gonna go tits up in the Near future....
anyway... reset it by uninstalling the primary and rebooting..seems to have worked...fingers crossed.
