anyone know any other way to either remove the password without typing it in... or getting a program to find it? i have tried free trials on the internet but most only do between 1 and 3 characters... and take ages to do just them (although there is over 2000 possibilities) |

Plenty of free brute force rar password crackers out there mate, should take a few seconds to get into it. |

You will have to brute force (try every possible combination). But it will properly take a bit longer than a few seconds since you have to try every combination. If you search around you should be able to find some software to do this for you. But if you used a alpha-numeric password with over 7 characters prepare for some waiting... |

Time taken to crack (bear in mind, the class A-D is slow). Here's a guideline: http://www.lockdown.co.uk/?pg=combi You've got zero hope, unless you can use the PS3 network to do it  If you think it's an actual word, without replacement of letters for numbers, or upper case characters - then a dictionary based attack would be better and more likely. |

I still recommend ophcrack. Big rainbow table that you need to download but once it's down it will be fast
