Mine used to do that, updated the drivers, fixed it for a while... then someone sprayed WD40 in the drive (idiots
) then I bought a new one. But the drivers did fix it for me.
And yes, my problem also just 'happened' for no reason. > . >

ok so today i was going to play some cnc3 with mike, but for some strange reason my drive wont recognize that a disc has been inserted, so when you boot the game it asked to please insert the correct disc. i checked to make sure all the connections were fine and they are, so i tried running fifa 07 and other data discs but it wont recognize them. erm the drive has been working as i installed cnc3 and fifa 07 using it, but i haven't really used it lately. as well when ive been trying to burn a new disc it says that you need to insert a blank disc, even though there is one already in, tried it with about 5 blank discs and it said the same thing. the drive is a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-107D. yeah so if you've got any ideas that might help me out, or is my drive a bit broke and i need a new one. thanks |

My previous two drives just stopped working with no apparent reason.  New one fixed it.
