Post subject:  logitech mx518 - strange

Ive got my mx 518 for sometime and never been real happy about it.

You know how when you normaly use a mouse, you look at the thing you want to click and move your mouse there. Bam the curser is there.

After i got my two 19 inch monitors and run them at 1920x1440 pixel i expericence the mouse as more than difficult to move precisely. Sure i can get it to move fast from one end to the other, but i uses more time getting it to hit what i want.

Thing is the same goes on in games. In css i have set my screen resolution to 800x600 to see if that helped. It did actually. Now i tried the same in UT, but not luck.

IF anyone have any ideas (beside getting a new mouse hehe) i would appriciate it.

Cheers

Might sound obvious but have you played with the sensitivity settings? I find if its a bit of on wondows its hard to be accurate with the poinyetr it sorta twitches.

I've got a 518 and it works a treat, are you using any kind of mouse mat?

Using the Setpoint software?
I tried it at first and the mouse response was terrible, not to mention making it tricky to use buttons 4 and 5. Uninstalled it, used the standard XP drivers and it worked a lot better.. :?

does it move by itself? as you sometimes get with a crappy wireless mouse? or what exactly do you mean? :)

i have the mx510, never had any problems with it :)

maybe it's the sensor that's dirty?
