					| I think it's a 'password' that your company would have assigned to it...

					| I believe you should connect to the router with a good old fashioned cat V cable. Then you can log onto it using a web browser by typing in the ip address (Perhaps 192.168.1.1) then enter the username (prolly "root") and password (prolly <blank> hopefully). Then go to the section for wireless and set the WEP key to whatever you want. The WEP key is use for encrypting the wireless traffic not for access control. I hope you can manage to log onto it if not search the webby for a manual maybe you can hard reset it or find infor on the defaults (user name, ip address etc).
 Good luck.

					| Or a "reset" would enable you do log into the router by default username and password, which can be obtained by Googling "user manual" and your router type

					| lol, google the router name and "user manual"
there will probably be a user manual in PDF that shows you how to reset it and supply you with the default login after it's been reset.
Or call up your brother and tell him you have a suprise for him

					| You can download the manual for the router from http://www.3com.com Wep is an acronym for Wireless Encryption Protocol. It basically wraps your ip packets in an encypted wrapper, sends them to the router which then takes of the wrapper and sends them out on the internet (naked!).
WEP works thus, you tell the router a random phrase which it uses to generate the wep key. Then you put the wep key in the properties of your wireless adaptor and hey presto continuous protection (from packet sniffers (perverts!)).
If you reset the router you will have to enter your own random word into the router to enable wireless security. (you could always try the default password for the router (which is usualy http://your-default-route-ip/ , which you can gain from doing an 'ipconfig /all' in your cmd box).

					| Most routers have the default wep key for that router printed on the label, same place for the mac address etc. _________________Uber Grampy on Steroids
