Just ordered the senheisers, as the headphones I have now are very cheap and were a quick fix solution.
Now I just need a sound card to go with them. Though money's a bit tight at the moment, I have about £100 to last me over the next few weeks. I do listen to a lot of music through my PC though, but thats about it. Been looking at the prices for the XF I... maybe when I get a job.

You dont really NEED an X-Fi if you're just buying simple headphones, an Audigy 2 ZS will do. Got mine for 35 quid, and the sound is brilliant, not as good as the X-Fi, but its not a big margin. If you're a real audiophile, than you should get decent headphones (around 100quid) to go along with all the features the X-Fi sports. I think that whenever you buy things you have to look at which might bottleneck the other
