anyone tried putting pagefile on windows 7 to zero...? tried it...seems to load even faster.windos and BF3 maps..... and so far has been really smooth gameplay.. It seems that bf3 is a real memory hog... time will tell. if bf3 crashes or directx errors..just put pagefile back on. warning.... for pc's with more than 8 gigs of ram... and works esp well if you have a ssd. (released 5 gig of space on my ssd.) if you want to try it.... windows 7 Control Panel System Advanced System Settings Under Performance choose settings Choose the Advanced tab Under Virtual Memory hit change Uncheck automatically manage paging file size Select your drives and hit no paging file followed by "Set" Then hit OK and Reboot. |
